Why Full 10 STD kit is for you?

You might wonder — why test for these 10 infections? These STDs are among the most common, easily spread, and often symptomless,
making routine screening essential. Here’s why they matter:

They’re often silent

Many of these infections, including Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Mycoplasma (MGen), Trichomoniasis, Syphilis, and Herpes, often show no symptoms but can still cause long-term health complications. Hepatitis C and HIV can also remain undetected for years, leading to severe health issues if left untreated.

They can affect fertility & long-term health

Chlamydia & Gonorrhea – If untreated, these can lead to Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) in women, increasing the risk of infertility and ectopic pregnancy. In men, they can cause epididymitis, affecting sperm production.

Syphilis – Can cause severe health problems, including neurological complications, vision loss, and heart issues if left untreated. It also increases the risk of HIV transmission.

Hepatitis C – A silent infection that can lead to liver disease, cirrhosis, and even liver cancer over time.

Mycoplasma (MGen) & Trichomoniasis – Can lead to persistent urethritis, pelvic pain, and antibiotic resistance if left untreated.

Gardnerella – A major cause of bacterial vaginosis (BV), which can increase the risk of other infections and cause discomfort, irritation, and unusual discharge.

Herpes 1 & 2 (HSV-1 & HSV-2) – These viruses cause lifelong infections that can lead to painful sores, outbreaks, and increased risk of HIV transmission. Even when no sores are present, herpes can still be spread.

They’re easily transmissible

These infections spread through vaginal, anal, and oral sex. Yes, oral sex can transmit Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, Herpes, and even HIV, leading to throat infections (pharyngeal STIs) that often go undiagnosed. Herpes can also spread through skin-to-skin contact, even if no symptoms are present.

HIV, Hepatitis C & Herpes detection is critical

Unlike bacterial STIs, HIV, Hepatitis C, and Herpes require lifelong management. Many people don’t realize they’re infected until years later, making regular screening essential for early intervention and better health outcomes.

Regular testing helps detect infections early, ensuring
proper treatment, preventing complications, and protecting both your health and your partner(s).

FAQs

Everything you need to know about the Full 10 Home Collection Test

How accurate is the Full 10 at-home STD test?

Our test is highly accurate, using the same CLIA-certified labs that doctors and clinics trust. To ensure the most reliable results, follow the sample collection instructions carefully.

How long does it take to get my STD test results?

We guarantee results within 48 hours after your sample reaches our lab. You’ll receive an email notification once your results are ready.

What should I do if my test is positive?

Don’t panic — most STDs are treatable. If you test positive, seek medical advice as soon as possible. While we offer telehealth services for California residents, those outside California should consult a doctor or clinic for treatment options.

What if I have STD symptoms but my test is negative?

Some STDs take time to show up on a test. If you have symptoms but your test is negative, consider:

  • Retesting in a few weeks if you’re within the incubation period.
  • Testing for other STDs, as some infections (like herpes, HPV or syphilis) may not be included in this kit.
  • Seeing a doctor for further evaluation.
Is my STD information kept private?

Absolutely. Your results are stored in a secure, HIPAA-compliant portal and only accessible by you. Your kit arrives in discreet packaging, and we do not share your information with anyone.

What are the symptoms of the STDs tested in this kit?

Many people experience no symptoms at all, which is why testing is crucial. However, when symptoms do appear, they can include:

  • Chlamydia & Gonorrhea – Burning during urination, unusual discharge (clear, white, yellow, or green), pelvic pain, pain during sex, spotting between periods, testicular pain, or no symptoms at all.
  • HIV 1 & 2 – Flu-like symptoms such as fever, sore throat, body aches, swollen lymph nodes, night sweats, fatigue, rash, or no symptoms for years while the virus weakens the immune system.
  • Hepatitis C – Fatigue, jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes), dark urine, nausea, joint pain, abdominal pain, or no symptoms for years until liver damage occurs.
  • Mycoplasma (MGen) – Burning during urination, abnormal discharge, pelvic pain, painful intercourse, testicular discomfort, or no symptoms at all.
  • Trichomoniasis – Itching or irritation in the genitals, burning after urination or ejaculation, thin or frothy vaginal discharge (yellow, green, or white), an unusual smell, or no symptoms at all.
  • Syphilis – Sores (painless ulcers) on the genitals, rectum, or mouth, skin rashes (often on the palms or soles), swollen lymph nodes, fever, hair loss, fatigue, or no symptoms for years until it reaches a severe stage.
  • Gardnerella – Unusual vaginal discharge with a strong fishy odor, vaginal itching or irritation, burning during urination, or no symptoms at all.
  • Herpes 1 & 2 (HSV-1 & HSV-2) – Painful blisters or sores on the mouth, genitals, or rectum, itching, burning, flu-like symptoms during the first outbreak, or no symptoms at all while still being contagious.

Regular testing is essential because many STDs remain asymptomatic for months or even years, silently affecting your health.

How often should I get tested for STDs?

HIV 1 & 2: Everyone aged 13 to 64 should be tested for HIV at least once. Those with higher risk factors, such as multiple partners or unprotected sex, should test annually or more frequently.

Chlamydia & Gonorrhea: Sexually active women under 25 should be tested annually. Women 25 and older with new or multiple partners should also test yearly. Men who have sex with men (MSM) should test at least annually, with testing every 3 to 6 months if they have multiple or anonymous partners.

Hepatitis C: Everyone aged 18 and older should be tested at least once in their lifetime, with more frequent testing recommended for those with risk factors such as unprotected sex, sharing needles, or a history of STDs. Pregnant women should be tested for Hepatitis C early in pregnancy.

Mycoplasma (MGen): Routine screening is not yet standard, but sexually active individuals experiencing symptoms like painful urination, unusual discharge, or pelvic pain should get tested. Those with multiple partners should consider annual screening.

Trichomoniasis: Sexually active women, especially those with new or multiple partners, should be tested annually. Men who have sex with men (MSM) should consider routine screening if they experience symptoms.

Syphilis: Sexually active individuals at higher risk, including MSM, people with multiple partners, and those living with HIV, should be tested at least annually. Pregnant women should be screened early in pregnancy, with repeat testing as needed.

Gardnerella: Routine testing is not standard unless symptoms such as unusual vaginal discharge, a strong odor, or irritation occur. Women with recurrent bacterial vaginosis (BV) should consult their healthcare provider for appropriate testing and management.

Herpes 1 & 2 (HSV-1 & HSV-2): Routine herpes testing is not recommended unless symptoms appear. However, individuals with recurrent outbreaks, those with new or multiple partners, and those at higher risk (such as MSM or immunocompromised individuals) should consider periodic testing.

Regular testing is crucial because many STDs can be asymptomatic. If you’re sexually active, knowing your status helps protect both your health and your partners.

Can I use the Full 10 at-home test if I'm pregnant?

Yes! It’s safe to use during pregnancy. In fact, routine STD screening is recommended for pregnant individuals to protect both you and your baby from complications.

Are the STDs in this kit transmittable through oral sex?

Yes, STDs tested in the Full 10 Kit can be transmitted through oral sex. While many assume STDs only spread through vaginal or anal sex, oral sex can lead to infections in the throat (pharyngeal infections) or be a route of transmission to the genitals. Here’s how each STD in the Full 10 Kit can be spread through oral sex:

  • Chlamydia & Gonorrhea – Can infect the throat, leading to a sore throat, redness, or no symptoms at all. They can also be transmitted from the throat to a partner’s genitals or rectum.
  • HIV 1 & 2 – Although less common, HIV can be transmitted through oral sex if there are open sores, bleeding gums, or cuts in the mouth, especially if exposed to infected semen, vaginal fluids, or blood.
  • Hepatitis C – Rarely transmitted through oral sex, but the risk increases if there are cuts or sores in the mouth or if blood is present.
  • Mycoplasma (MGen) – While MGen primarily infects the genital and urinary tract, some research suggests it may be present in the throat, though more studies are needed on oral transmission.
  • Trichomoniasis – Primarily infects the genitals, but cases of oral transmission are extremely rare.
  • Syphilis – Can be easily transmitted through oral sex, especially if there are open sores (chancres) in the mouth or on the genitals. Even when sores are not visible, syphilis can still spread.
  • Gardnerella – While Gardnerella is typically associated with bacterial vaginosis (BV), some studies suggest it may be found in the oral microbiome, though transmission through oral sex is not well understood.
  • Herpes 1 & 2 (HSV-1 & HSV-2) – Highly transmissible through oral sex, herpes can spread from the mouth to the genitals and vice versa, even when no visible sores are present. HSV-1 is commonly associated with oral cold sores but can cause genital herpes through oral-genital contact. HSV-2, typically genital herpes, can also infect the mouth.

Since many oral STDs have no symptoms, regular testing is essential for detecting infections early and preventing transmission to partners. Using barriers like condoms or dental dams can help reduce the risk.
